Among the banks tracked here, this sheet is 4th cheapest for sending USD and 1st best for receiving USD today. These positions compare published sheets that do not all cover the same transaction size — State Bank of India quotes a large-value band — so read the rank alongside the band below, not on its own. Punjab National Bank publishes 12 currencies on this sheet, quoting TT (wire transfer), bill (trade documents) and currency notes rates. It does not publish forex travel card or demand draft rates, so those columns are blank below rather than filled in from a neighbouring column. JPY is shown per 100 units, as Indian sheets conventionally quote it.

No change in this bank's TT Selling rates between its two most recent published sheets, for the currencies above. Where the archive holds only one sheet from a bank there is nothing to compare against yet.
Punjab National Bank publishes a PDF from its Integrated Treasury Branch in Mumbai, headed Report for Card Rate and timestamped to the hour. Text is read from the document itself.
Its sheet has ten numeric columns, more than any other here, and only some of them describe products the rest of this site records. TT, bill and currency-note rates map across directly. Two do not: TC is travellers cheques, which is a different instrument from a forex travel card and is deliberately not recorded as one, and CPC and WTCS are single figures rather than buy/sell pairs. Recording the travellers-cheque column as a card rate would be an easy mistake and a misleading one, so those columns are left out rather than approximated.
PNB states the quoting multiple in the row itself — the yen line reads "JPY (100)" — so the printed multiple is used rather than an assumption about this bank. The sheet also carries a reporting rule rather than a transaction band: sales and purchases above ten lakh rupees have to be reported to treasury before 4:30 PM.
One quirk of the source worth recording: the download link carries an opaque file id that looks like it rotates daily, because the file arrives named with the day's date. It does not. The same id served the sheet for an earlier date and serves the current one; the bank replaces the file behind a fixed identifier.
Figures are read from the sheet Punjab National Bank publishes, so every number here can be checked at source. The method for every bank is set out on the about page, and what each column means is on the reading guide.
Indicative rates, as Punjab National Bank states on its own sheet: the rate applied is the one prevailing when an account is debited or credited. See also fees, GST and TCS.
