What this site is

This site republishes the daily foreign-exchange rate sheets that Indian banks publish on their own websites, normalises them into a comparable form, and shows them side by side with a converter. Each figure links to the bank sheet it came from. See the guide for what the columns mean and where comparison breaks down.

The rates are indicative, not quotes

Every bank labels these rates indicative, and so do we. The rate a bank actually applies is the one prevailing at the moment your account is debited or credited, which may differ from what is shown here. Banks revise their sheets during the day at their own discretion, and publish only on foreign-exchange working days.

Not financial advice

Nothing here is financial, investment or tax advice, or a recommendation to transact with any particular bank. Verify any figure with the bank before acting on it. Decisions you take using this information are your own. The comparison covers rates only — GST, SWIFT and correspondent-bank charges, and card fees frequently exceed the rate difference between banks.

No affiliation, and no dealing in foreign exchange

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any bank named on it. Bank names are used only to identify whose published sheet a figure came from. We do not buy, sell or exchange foreign currency, hold client funds, or act as a money changer or authorised dealer.

Accuracy and availability

The data is collected automatically. Banks change their page layouts and file formats without notice, which can cause a figure to be missing, stale or wrong. We correct problems when we find them, but the site is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or uninterrupted availability, and without liability for loss arising from its use.

Reviews you submit

If you submit a review, you confirm it is your own words and you are content for it to be published on this site, with any name or city you supplied. Reviews are read before publishing and may be edited for length or to remove identifying detail, or declined without explanation. Ask us to remove yours at any time and we will. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not statements by this site.

Copyright and reuse

The exchange-rate figures are factual data published by the respective banks and central banks, and are not claimed as our work. What is ours is the compilation — the collection, normalisation into comparable form, and arrangement — together with the wording and software of this site.

That compilation is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0: you may reuse it, including commercially, provided you credit this site and link back. The software is published under the MIT licence. Attribution requirements attaching to the original sources — the European Central Bank in particular — remain with those sources.
