Privacy Policy

The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no forms. We do not ask you for your name, email, phone number or any financial detail, and there is nothing here for you to log into. We do use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used and Google AdSense to show advertising; both set cookies. Everything below sets out exactly what that involves and how to opt out.

What we collect directly

Nothing that identifies you by name. The site is a set of static files with no accounts and no forms, so we hold no name, email or financial detail. The currency converter runs entirely in your browser — the amount you type is never sent anywhere, to us or to anyone else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, which currencies people look at, and roughly where visitors come from. To do this Google sets cookies on your device and assigns a random identifier to your browser. It records things like pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.

We see this only as aggregate reports. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with anything else.

• You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Technical data our host processes

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request — IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and a timestamp — in order to deliver the page, protect against attacks and cache content. This is handled by Cloudflare under its own terms; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising cookies

We display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set and read cookies on your device to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

• You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info, or block cookies in your browser settings.

We do not have access to, and do not receive, the personal data these cookies may process.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the Google services named above.
• We do not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number or payment details.
• We do not use email addresses for marketing, because we do not collect them.
• We do not track what you type into the converter.

Children

This site is a financial information reference and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting something it does not collect today — a subscription form, for instance, or analytics — this page will be updated before that change goes live.
