Retail, not wholesale. The headline figures are what a jeweller trading here quotes today, before 3% GST and making charges. Beneath each one is the IBJA wholesale fix — the Zaveri Bazar dealer price the RBI directs NBFCs and co-operative banks to use for gold-loan valuation, and a spot fix rather than the MCX futures price. The gap between the two is the jeweller's metal margin.

What is a city rate, and what is not. The headline above is a retail rate — what a jeweller trading in this city is quoting today. It differs between cities because each chain sets its own rate across its own stores and they do not match one another; the spread is widest on silver. The IBJA figure shown beside it is the wholesale Zaveri Bazar fix (a dealer price, and a spot fix — not the MCX futures price), useful for judging a jeweller's margin but not a price you can buy at. Only cities where a publisher on this page actually trades get a page, so nothing here is the national rate reprinted under a local heading.

Each rate is read from the publisher's own page. No aggregators.

Indicative. Bullion rates move intraday and a jeweller applies the rate prevailing when you pay. Making charges, wastage, hallmarking fees and any stone value are set per jeweller and per design, and often matter more than the rate difference between publishers. IBJA publishes no rates on weekends or central-government holidays.
